Services

The Services tab lists the adjustable quantities on your account — things like extensions, call-center seats, and phone numbers — and lets you raise or lower each limit yourself. Every change shows you the cost before it is saved.

Who can see and change services. The Services tab requires Plans/Services access — the same permission that covers plans. Your primary contact holds it automatically and can grant it to other contacts. Without that permission the tab does not appear in the portal at all; there is no read-only view of it, and billing access on its own does not open it.

Finding the Services tab

  1. Log in to the customer portal at portal.cloudspirevoice.com/portal/.
  2. Click the Services tab in the top navigation.

Reading the services table

Each service is one row with these columns:

ColumnWhat it means
In useHow many you are actually using right now. (A dash means the service isn't a countable item.)
IncludedThe amount that comes free with your plan. You are never billed for anything at or below this number.
Your limitThe total you are allowed — the number you can edit. This is the cap the system enforces.
Unit priceThe monthly price for each unit above the included amount.
MonthlyWhat this service costs you per month at the current limit.

How a service is billed

The math is simple and the same for every service:

Monthly charge = (Your limit − Included) × Unit price

The included amount is free; you only pay for the units above it. For example, if your plan includes 39 phone numbers and you set your limit to 40, you pay for the one number above the included amount at its unit price.

You can't set a limit below what you're using or what's included

Your limit can never drop below the larger of two numbers: what you currently have In use, and what your plan Includes. This prevents you from cutting service you are actively using and keeps your free included allowance intact. If you type a number that's too low, the field turns red and tells you the minimum — for example "Extensions can't be below 39."

To lower a limit below your current usage, first reduce the usage (remove the extensions, seats, or numbers you no longer need), then lower the limit.

Phone numbers (DIDs)

Phone numbers are not unlimited — your plan includes an allowance that scales with your plan (for example, in proportion to your extensions), shown in the Included column. You can purchase numbers beyond the included allowance, and each one above the included amount bills at the unit price. The included allowance is recalculated automatically whenever you change your plan or other services.

Changing a limit

  1. Type the new number in the Your limit box for one or more services.
  2. Click Review changes. The button is enabled as soon as anything differs from your saved values.
  3. A confirmation window summarizes every change — the old and new quantity for each service, the monthly change (up or down), and your new services total per month.
  4. Click Confirm & save to apply, or Cancel to go back and adjust.

After saving, a confirmation appears and you stay on the Services tab with the updated numbers. Raising a limit takes effect immediately and is invoiced right away with a prorated charge for the increase (the difference, for the days remaining in the cycle); lowering a limit takes effect immediately with no refund for the remainder of the cycle. If your account has a percentage discount on that plan, the prorated charge reflects it automatically; fixed-dollar discounts continue to apply in full on your regular monthly invoice. The new amount then continues on each invoice — see Invoices.

Nothing saves until you confirm. Editing the boxes and clicking Review changes never charges you — it only opens the summary. Charges apply only after you click Confirm & save.
